After almost 40 years in their old location the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington moved into brand new offices last month.  The JCRC is the central community relations agency of the organized Jewish community in the DC Metro area. Their goal is to foster a society based on freedom, justice and democratic pluralism.  They accomplish this goal through government relations, Israel advocacy, inter-group relations and social justice.  This is a dynamic agency that needed to have it’s offices reflect its’ 21st century mission and high energy.

Working with Ron Halber (Executive Director) & Julie Greenwald (Executive/Program Assistant) we designed a modern, contemporary office that included both private offices and cubicles at a very reasonable price. The stark contrast between their old, run down offices and their bright new offices has not only increased productivity but has also added a new energy to an already high energy organization. Vendors used included re-manufactured Herman Miller Action Office (Open Plan Systems), Eurotech Seating & OTG case goods.

This project is very typical of the kind of work we do everyday here at Andy Stern’s. Starting with the landlords floor plan (which they transmited to us digitally) we used our own C.A.D. software to create a layout that would work with the way the JCRC goes about it’s daily business.  During the process of collaboration with the JCRC we went through three or four revisions (which is typical) until we came up the plan that worked best for them. And we did not charge for this service. All of our staff is trained on our C.A.D. software. So, if you’re getting ready to move and have been handed a floor plan by your new landlord give us a call we’re here to help!
