When Matchbox Food Group decided to move their corporate headquarters to 
Rockville they gave us a call. We provided design services and furniture. Matchbox wanted a clean, modern open look to match the modern unique restaurant brand they have created.
Using the Office Source Elements line of open plan furniture we were able create an open look that met their work flow and aesthetic needs. For their seating needs we used our popular CoolMesh task and executive seating highlighted with bright red cushioned seats. In the conference room we used our new Clio series chair whose back is extremely comfortable as it self contours to an individuals back.
Matchbox Restaurant group started when three friends teamed up to bring to life a dream they believed in. Combining their life savings they opened their first restaurant in Chinatown, DC. What began as a tribute to their father soon became a thriving business based on the idea of community where friends and families bond over hearty meals.

Today Matchbox has 11 restaurants in DC, Maryland, Virginia, Texas and Florida. They’ve dedicated themselves to offering a one of a kind experience, unique only to their brand. What makes Matchbox restaurants so unique is that they transform and build spaces to create an effortless warm and modern delicious dining experience. Wood burning ovens ignite from the time they open. Guest favorites include the matchbox meat pizza, layered with thick cut pepperoni, house roasted spicy Italian sausage and crumbled bacon on atop of zesty tomato sauce. While pizza is their passion the supporting cast – their bistro menu – sets them apart. Value driven wines and craft cocktails complete the picture. Matchbox is one of our favorite places to enjoy a great meal with friends.
