New Amenity Spaces for Minkoff Development
When Minkoff Development decided to create a conferencing and café/mini-market space for the common use of tenants at their Avion Office Building in Chantilly, Virginia, they turned to Andy Sterns Office Furniture to design and execute the project. Since 1972, Minkoff has created jobs for communities and built homes for businesses in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties. Locally run from its headquarters in Germantown, Maryland, Minkoff is a family owned real estate firm that offers services spanning development, construction, management, and leasing. Minkoff’s in-house capabilities enable it to provide its large array of tenants with efficient, responsive, and value-oriented service.
For the casual seating area in the café we used HON Flock Series swivel lounge chairs and round cocktail table. Flock blurs the lines between home and office, bringing casual settings into the workplace that allow everyone to find the comforts of home they crave. Flock was designed to encourage teamwork and turn any space into a social, common area.
In the training/conference room, we used HON Motivate Series folding & nesting tables and HON Motivate stacking & nesting chairs. The Motivate collection of products from HON, including tables, seating, and presentation tools, work seamlessly together to provide a comprehensive solution perfectly suited for any collaborative environment. The way people work is constantly evolving, and Motivate provides comfort, flexibility, technology and quality they need to get things done.
For the dining tables in the café we used a combination of Global’s Bridges II bench seating and JSI’s Menu tables to create the atmosphere of a diner. Bridges II offers great flexibility in configuring seating spaces and can be linked together or used freestanding. Menu tables have a substantial 1.25-inch top which is available in 3 shapes and 15 edge designs. Available in veneer or laminate, Menu tables can be ordered to fit design specifications of any interior space. We think Minkoff tenants will enjoy the new spaces for years to come!
