As Tim points out in this article Google has made several major changes to its ranking algorithms within the last couple of months. Chief among them is more of an emphasis on Brand names vs Keywords. In this article Tim also talks about the major change in the way Google now ranks websites on mobile devices.  As of April 21st if your site was not “mobile friendly” you will not show up in Google searches on a mobile device.
